Why the number 5?

This piece of leather luggage has been designed to commemorate Aston Martin's 1st Le Mans win competing with the DBR1 in 1959. Car Number 5 was driven by Briton Roy Salvadori and American Carroll Shelby in 1959.

2009 was Aston's 50th anniversary Le Mans victory win.

 

This holdall is manufactured in British Racing Green (Verde) leather as close as it was possible to get to a 1959 Aston Martin leather Interior with a Bianco (white) leather roundel with a Number 5 in Nero leather (black).

Accepted as hand luggage.
