About the Aston Martin DB6

The DB6 is a grand tourer car made by Aston Martin between 1965-1971 and succeeded The Aston Martin DB5 model. The Car was named DB after Sir David Brown who acquired Aston Martin  in 1947. The DB6 Model featured improved aerodynamics and engine specifications over the DB5.

A number of variants of the DB6 model were introduced during its production including a DB6 Volante, DB6 Shooting Brake and a Vantage specification of the model the DB6 Vantage. In 1969 The DB6 Mark II was introduced that featured distinct flares on the front and rear wheel arches and wider tyres. The DBS was eventually succeeded by the Aston Martin DBS in 1967, although for a short period of time both vehicles were in production between 1967-1969.
